  1. Give us labor day off. everyone else has it off.
also, is it concievably possible to somehow get the schedual of the breaks to line up with all of the other colleges in the area? i can't do anything with my girlfriend who goes to a different college (i know lame excuse) this year as far as vacations because my breaks here at bethel are all jacked up and different from all the other colleges.

i barely get to see her, it would have been nice to be on breaks with her.

  2. I'm a commuter student an granted I don't have a meal plan but why can't I go into the caf an get ice for my camelbac? Also I have a friend that is on the meal plan but get harassed everyone she tries to get her food in a to-go box... If she is paying for the food why does it matter where she eats it at? Obviously it takes time to eat in the caf, but what about the students that don't have time to eat in there?

  4. The maintenance seems to have just a wee bit of a problem running the sprinklers while it is raining or after it has rained. I know its cumbersome to turn off and on a sprinkler system, but in the name of saving water and a few dollars, can we petition the maintenance to jump on this?

  5. Students have always complained about food service. Instead of improving, however, it seems that the quality, variety, and convenience of food service remains unchanged or goes downhill – as a junior, this has certainly been my experience over the past 2+ years. I believe it is far too easy for our food service provider (Aladdin) to continually ignore student complaints while making empty promises to improve – promises that have been broken over and over and over again. However, because we are a “captive clientele”, I don’t know why there would be any incentive (either on the part of Student Life or Aladdin management) for anything to change. Most of us will continue to be forced to spend roughly three grand a year for the “privilege” of eating on-campus, so what difference does it make whether we like the food or not. I know money is tight, and Bethel and Aladdin are no doubt trying to save as much money as they can. However, there are still reasonable expectations that need to be met. Suffice it to say, they haven’t been met yet.
